My, you are observant. And thank you for the compliment on The 34th Rule. No. No indeed: U.S.S. New York
I've had hopes for this novel and reading those excerpts its clearly going to be the best of the Typhon Pact novels.
Let me guess, you helped out with the Andorian Stuff and got an advanced copy? Anyway, I got Rough Beasts of Empire today (The Edge, too, by the way). So if it has reached Germany I guess it should be on the shelves in the US, too. Haven't even read Seize the Fire yet, do no idea when I'll start with this one.
Hm...I checked my local Barnes & Noble yesterday and they didn't have Rough Beasts of Empire yet, but I'll be back there tomorrow because I have to return a purchase I made.
Sorry? But seriously, kind of fucked up that it turns up a continent away (especially with the current weather conditions in Europe) before you get your author copies or it hits the US shelves.
I just checked B&N.com and Borders.com, and it available online at B&N and only for pre-order. As for me, I already bought it for my Nook, but can't download it until next Tuesday. I think this is going to be the last book I pre-order for my Nook though. They take all of the money out when you pre-order, but don't let you download until the release date, and I don't like that they take the money out before I get the item. If I could get it early or something I wouldn't mind, but I don't like paying the full amount without getting the product.
All I hope is that the bring some kind of resoultion to sisko, will he return to strarfleet are leave for good. Dudes been on extended leave for what four yrs.. As someone who is military these kinda of cilivian way of thinking bugs me a little, I love the writers and alot of thier work. But i can not think of any org that would grant leave this long// Star fleet might not be pure military , but it is the fighting arm of the federation. At some point they would need to know is he in or out
Thanks for all the offers, folks, but at long last, my writer's copies arrived this evening. There is now joy in Mudville.
