We hit the buffet at the Diamond Jo last night. We both had a lot of comp points built up, so one was free and the other was pretty damn cheap. Their Saturday night Prime Rib is exquisite, but the 6-8 oz. "little" steaks they have next to the Prime Rib are even more delightful. Had their deep fried ravioli, Asian meatballs, Spaetzle, and pizza too. Oh, God, I was stuffed, but it was WONDERFUL!

Tonight the plan is a grilled pork roast with a pureed peach glaze and corn on the cob. The pork roast has been marinading in Teriyaki Sauce and JD's for 24 hours.

Last night at the ballpark I had a salmon salad with balsamic vinegarette dressing. It was delcious. The night before I had some sushi. I loved it but it sure as hell didn't love me! After about an hour, I was in the bathroom with an upset stomach and throwing up. It wasn't a pretty sight AT ALL! :(

Some kind of red sauce my wife whipped up that included small chunks of steak over pasta. It was kind of a welcome change from ground beef or meatballs.

They're basically the same food to begin with.

Sadly, I can't eat either anymore.:(

I haven't had Moussaka in soooo long.

I keep meaning to add to this thread, and I keep forgetting. But, I just had last night's dinner leftovers for lunch, so ...

I made grilled pizza with prosciutto, sun-dried tomato, goat cheese and fresh basil we're growing on our deck. I made the pizza sauce earlier in the day using said basil, plus fresh marjoram, oregano and thyme from our little container garden, as well.

Oh, with a salad and a great bottle of Pinot Noir from our recent trip to Sonoma.

And, if I do say so, myself, it was gooooooood.

    Are those the $2,500 seats?!?

I got down to see Citi Field this year, next year will be the new Yankee Stadium.

I own some funny hats but don't have a sombrero in the repetoire. Would someone mind filling me in on that little running gag anyway?

I think that was going on when I had 19 concurrent design projects going on a few months back and lacked the time to spam.

Yesterday, I had (at about 1:00 a.m., which basically makes it almost 2 nights ago) a quesadilla with romano and shredded 2-cheese with guacamole and sour cream.

    It was delicious.

And I had a brownie about 24 hours ago before midnight hit.

All I've had is water and about two glorified shot glasses-worth of decaf coffee and milk today.

Tomorrow is a food day. Yay.

Last night was the final class in a six-week course I was taking, and afterward several classmates and I went to a nearby restaurant. I had an angus beef burger with a side of fries. It was pretty good.

My mother is going to make a zucchini casserole tonight (I think there will be onions and a few other veggies). It should be delicious. I can't wait.

Her step-sister grew some gigantic zucchinis in her garden (HUGE) that we're going to use.

However, I'd kill for some of these right now:

Bacon-wrapped jalapeƱos stuffed with cream cheese and baked. Possibly my most favorite food ever. Especially when they get that slightly burnt look and the gooey cream cheese soaks up all that jalapeƱo and bacon flavor. Sin on a toothpick.
