    Hello, welcome!

We recently started and finished our "In Purgatory's Shadow/By Inferno's Light" Line-by-Line over in the DS9 forum!

After each completed thread, we're randomly picking someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was Admiral_Sisko, then it was Alienesse, and Alienesse chose "Breaking the Ice" as our next Line-by-Line challenge!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes, each episode is a separate thread.

As before, at the conclusion of this thread, my Cadet, CoveTom :rommie: will pick someone at random from among all the participants to choose the next episode we do.

All right, lets go check out a comet!

In the Mess Hall, Trip and Phlox are looking at children's drawings.

Trip: Looks like we're going about Warp 4.5.

Trip: These were sent by my nephew's fourth grade class. I thought the crew might like to see how excited folks at home are about our mission.

Trip: Some of these kids are pretty talented. Which one do you want? This one's nice. Or maybe you want First Contact. Or how about this one? (a picture of a green Vulcan with huge ears)

ARCHER (over comm): For those of you who aren't near a window, you might want to find one. There's something pretty amazing off starboard. (a comet is gliding past) Senior staff...

ARCHER: Except this one's bigger than any comet humans have ever seen. That's got to be worth a look. Stay with it, Travis.
