^Yeah, I suppose you have a point there. It just seems to have a tendency to get frowned down upon, and seems to be considered bad edi-, poor manners.

I once read that it has a tendency to divert attention away from newer topics and posts.

 

And half the time with threads this old the person you're replying to is long gone from the forum.

 

yeah that makes sense.

i just never got the whole 'oh noes you have shamed the interwebs' thing that everyone seems to do :P
