This is the last poll for Enterprise. Over the last weeks the Trek BBS has voted the four favorite episodes. Now it's time to vote the favorite episode of the whole series! Hmmm...not really very good choices. Shuttlepod One--too focused on two characters to win Carbon Creek--main cast not featured!!!! Twilight--never actually happened That leaves Observer Effect by default
Yeah, The Forge and Cogenitor are the best. But without them I had to go with Observer Effect, too. Good solid Trek.
All good episodes, but I don't know if any of them is really my favorite so it's hard to pick. I guess I'll go with Twilight.
These are all great eps, but not the ones I would pick as the best of ENT ever. Of these, I would go with Carbon Creek.
"Shuttlepod One." I really like or downright love all four picks, but to this day S1 has something that keeps me riveted. It's not your father's TREK episode. No time travel. No anomalies. No pressing, deadly alien attack, spy mission or threat. Just two guys who think they're going to die soon trapped in a confined space and coming to grips with their mortality.
First of all, there isn't an episode here I don't love. But I've really got to go with... Observer Effect. Everything from the strange chess game opening, characters being taken over, their glances to each other... the first giveaway sign, to Archer preventing Phlox from taking off his gloves and exposing himself to the disease, then his heartfelt plea that got through to one of the Organians. Perfect... and one of the strongest bottle shows in the whole of Trek.
