I could see ABC rockin some corporate synergy and bringing Emily VanCamp in for a guest appearance at some point.

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
    Imagine the negative space!

Talking to her friend/sister while doing the washing up, in code about this great guy that she's just started dating.

Recent publicity for the future direction of the show claims that the direction they're heading in post-TWS is what they intended for the show all along; that they've been holding back until TWS was released. EDIT: Here's a link to the USA Today article on the subject: http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/...s-of-shield-tv-series/7313369/?linkId=7899022 "'Hopefully people who've had mixed feelings about the show will now understand it was all part of a big plan,' Tancharoen says."

That's a big difference from having a superhero come in and save the day, as you specifically suggested.

I don't think an Avenger appearing would be a deus ex machina, but it has to fit the story like Sif did. If Agent 13 showed it, it would be probably similar to Sif.

I'm starting to wonder if the tv series should have been held until Winter Soldier and it could have started with this civil war storyline, if they've been waiting to tell the story they really wanted to tell for 4/5 of a season...

Well, we got to know the characters and they set up their own issues/mysteries, FWIW....

Well, the pilot was ordered before TWS script, so I don't know for a fact this was their only plan. I also really think the slow build up made the movie better and the movie retroactively makes the show better. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a movie mid-season that's just straight up part of the show (from a show perspective) and changes everything after.

Or so I assume, one minute until I find out.

Well, it's possible that she thinks the encoded transmission is coming from the Bus.

Last time I have any spoiler warning about this word:

I.e., she could think Coulson is a HYDRA agent.

She could still be playing them...we'll see.

And why didn't they just gas the plane?

Most awkward hiding in a broom closet conversation ever.

And I was just about to call Garrett to hedge my bets when it was revealed.

And boy, they're really spoiling specific plot points in TWS. If you haven't seen it and you're watching this, you've been spoiled.

Thank god it has aired, I was going insane from refraining to discuss any of the developments of the episode.

One thing I liked about the episode is some of the small connections, like one of the agents with Hand is Agent Shaw, who was the guy that Coulson and company rescued from Siberia in episode 7, and because of that he shows concerns about shooting them.
