I really hope not. I know you're behind, but this finale was the perfect ending.

Is it perfect enough that if the "andamovie" never happens everything will still feel like it wrapped up nicely?

I'm still holding out hope for a movie, just so the tagline can be "We told you."

I think so. I mean there are a few lingering questions (one of which would make a good movie plot). But, it was enough closure for me if we don't. Still, I'd love to see the movie.

Re: Ongoing Community Discussion Thread

I have a friend who's convinced the movie won't happen because Tom Rothman is now the head of Sony Pictures and that doesn't seem like something Tom Rothman would greenlight.

I'm curious what other peoples thoughts on this are.

If they did season 7 I wouldn't mind if they started an entirely new study group we've never met before. As much as I love these characters I think they had a great ending. They could be a Fundamentals of Law study group.

My issue with the wedding episode wasn't the incest reference so much as that the characters acted uncharacteristically stupid in a very normal-crappy-sitcom-like way.

I wouldn't be surprised if Community got a straight to internet movie on the weight of fan demand.

Why can't Yahoo make a movie?

A tv movie is basically 5 or 6 episodes.

Fox sliced and diced the Futurama movies into small seasons they could air in 20 minute (plus ads) segments.

10s of millions?

That's 20 million minimum.

Yeah, a movie on Yahoo is probably the best bet. A theatrical film is almost certainly impossible, and something on one of the networks is unlikely.

Re: Ongoing Community Discussion Thread

Doctor Who had a couple episodes that were released in Movie theatres globally simulcast with the British tv release.

Anything is possible.

That was for the 50th anniversary and Doctor Who has a massive audience. Community's audience is much, much, much smaller.

In any event, fans of the show can all be happy that the show was given a worthy ending.

Re: Ongoing Community Discussion Thread

...And a movie.

Yahoo has three ways they go from here, if they like the money they are making.

1. More Community/Community spinoff.

2. Get Dan to invent something new.

3. Pick their favourite actor(s) from community, and give them/him/her their own vehicles/shows.

All of them getting their own shows?

I wonder what that would look like?

Gillian playing a lawyer, who wins cases by sleeping with Judges.

Joel working in a kindergarten, but he was only hired to reach things on the top shelf.

Danny is driving a cab that's really transporting drugs from one side of the city to the other for the mob.

Alison is an astronaut, that crashes on an alien world, and a nice family hides her, sorta like a reverse ALF.

Jim is accidentally voted as the worlds sexiest man of the year by Time Magazine. The show is then about a goof on dates with celebrities and super models, who are all emperors new clothes, telling fantastic stories about him as a man and a lover that never happened.

Richard reviews potato chips.

(Ken already has a new sitcom lined up and it looks awful.)

I skipped several episodes, but watched the last one.

Loved it. That was a great ending and I could still see the show coming back, minus some more people. Yet it felt very very finale. They did a great job.

Now let's get that movie made!
