I know what you mean. I've given up on keeping my bedroom door closed at night. Our female cat, Chance, will stay in the room pretty much all night but our male, Gimli, likes to wander in and out and if the door is closed he will scratch and meow at it incessantly until the door is opened for him.
No, I keep the doors open because of the heat. It's been 95 F or above since June. By keeping the rooms open, the A/C gets more evenly distributed. Junior definitely has doors closed to him---our bedroom and hubby's office are off-limits to him--but the rest of the house is his to roam.
^The size has to fit exactly - I tend to order lots of stuff at any one time and my cat doesn't like the big boxes it comes in. But maybe if I had a Great Dane...
Banshee was mewling like crazy at the window when we were outside, so this weekend we got her a harness and leash. She very much enjoyed getting to explore the yard, plus it got her some bonus diaper-free time! We tried this with the older two cats a long time ago, but they did *not* like it. One just squatted in place, the other tried to climb my head! A leash would not be a good idea for Phantom, Banshee's "brother", since he's a troublemaker and would probably get stuck in a tree or something.
No pix because no camera, which is good because then you'd see what a horrible housekeeper I am. Cleo's favorite toy broke-- a plastic stick with an elastic string with the effigy of some birdlike thing on it-- due to her chewing on the string instead of the bird, so I bought her a new one. I clipped the string off the old one and put the bird where she sometimes sleeps. A few days later it was near where I sleep. She actually seems to like chewing on the stick more than anything else.
Lucky kitty. I'm sure he liked having the diaper off. Has there been any progress on his bowel control?
No, she hasn't really gotten any better there. She will go to the litter pan and try, and it takes her a while to go. And while some poop makes it in, she still has uncontrolled accidents. Trying to pee is even worse, just drops here and there. Likely from something Auburn related originally.
^ I'm sure they all get them from the same manufacturer in China. Can't even recall the last time I stopped at an Exxon.
I remember those - the stations out here were Enco, though. The tails sort of faded from the advertising picture with the national rebranding of Esso/Enco to Exxon and the advent of gas crisis and oil embargo. http://roadtripdog.deviantart.com/art/Put-A-Tiger-In-Your-Tank-175938425 http://www.gadling.com/2011/09/29/photo-of-the-day-put-a-tiger-in-your-tank/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kB5ROD4CGG8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-qot-tlLrw http://cacb.wordpress.com/2010/09/01/esso-put-a-tiger-in-your-tank/
