It got a full R2 DVD release shortly after it finished airing on UK TV, and there were box-sets during the run. So I wouldn't be surprised.

^ At this point I'd even settle for a Charlie Jade soundtrack CD. I totally frakking LOVE the music for this show. :bolian:

    John Doe, greatest crime ever.
Birds of Prey, whiny Batman fans  (at least it got an ending though)
Miracles (how did I know Temis would like a show like this)
Jules Verne (way too smart for the average movie goer)
Jake 2.0 (so there is a copy out there now huh)
Invasion, Surface, Threshold (what a bad year, all came out a season too earlier)
    Now and Again
What was the name of that other show, Veritage or something?
    Black Scoripion
    Brisco County Jr.
    Lost
The list can go on and on.

I am still trying to figure out why they even put Firefly on the air.

^ Lost? As in the J.J. Abrams series? That's still on the air. And the producers are/will get exactly the amount of show they wanted (heck, the network wanted more).

    Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

You mean there is a show called Lost that still comes on. I know there was one on that had a really great season but it ended after one. ;)

    Invasion
    Surface

Not sci-fi or fantasy at all but...

    Boomtown

    and

The Fugitive remake starring Tim Daly. I thought it was really good and was disappointed when it was cancelled.

It did fall off a cliff. But before it fell, it was brilliant.

What's more, it caught a branch as it fell, and had actually managed to climb back up to the edge of the cliff by the end of season 2. The season finale was brilliant--classic David Lynch.

Had it been given a third season, I think we would have seen a return to form. So it definitely belongs on any list of 'brilliant but cancelled,' and it's a shame that it took 55 posts before anybody remembered it.

But, that said--yeah. Some of those second-season episodes were just bad.

I agree. They had some mistakes during the second half of season two, quite a number, but they got back on form before the end and had a spectacular finale. Possibly the best episode of the show. I would've loved to see where it went from there.

I've got all the 13 made eps and I REALLY would like to see a sort of reboot of this series, also because the music is absolutely awesome, Tangerine Dream made the soundtrack...

Oh and Andrew Probert designed the bike. :D

Too bad you're missing the best show on TV. ;)

And maybe Twin Peaks needs to be mentioned in the Remake This thread. Or any TV series by David Lynch. I'd be willing to give the guy another shot at it.

Not 'brilliant' by any means, but I still enjoyed the heck out of it:

    Otherworld.

Gotta love it for the theme music alone! :techman:

And with some minor revisions, it could make a great Stargate episode or two. :)

Ha! Well since it's been resurrected I'd like to say it's nice to see mention of American Gothic, Alien Nation and Nowhere Man in the original post, and also nice to see there are a few other Earth 2 fans out there. I bloody loved that show!

I've always had a curious relationship with Firefly. Back in the day I thought it was ok but nothing special, part of this no doubt was how much of a contrarian I was 20 years ago. So many people loved the show that I couldn't help but be a bit sniffy about it  in hindsight it really grew on me and I love the film. Of course now hindsight has swivelled again given the things we've learned about Whedon in recent years.

I just ran across a few Cinema Therapy YT videos about Firefly/Serenity. Interesting insights.
