I have this feeling at least two (maybe three) of these characters will not survive this scene.

More promo art, including two more good looks at Vision and one of Ultron.

They can't keep killing off all the interesting / well known SHIELD agents like Victoria Hand.

Rhodes should be O.K. - they'll need him to be Iron Man when RDJr. quits. Unless they recast Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Tony (which would work for me).

Morgan is 48 he's too old. Downey is 49 and he's heading out because he's too old. They need someone to last another decade's worth of movies.

True. It was lively, and captured the heart of the source material in a way the movies have not.

Colin Farrell would be a good Tony Stark.

    No, seriously.

I'm not a big fan of Colin Farrell but, but he was really good as a drunk in Saving Mr. Banks. However he just doesn't have the personality to take on Stark. Good thinking outside the box but I'm going to say no.

I do agree it is kind of a big change, but I think it is a bit of a nice connection between the two movies.

They can't make whatever happens 100% Stark/Banner's faults...particularly if tons of people get killed. Hard for characters to come back from that in this type of movie.

Commercial during the college football semifinal today said that they'd debut a brand new Avengers trailer during the final on January 12.

I don't think it's so much the age - both could easily pass for ten years younger. It's more a matter of waning interest / rocketing slaries.

Morgan (or whoever) would probably jump at the chance, be cheper, more motivated and stick with the part for a good few years.

I'd love RDjr. to do it for the next ten years, but it's not going to happen. Morgan would still be my ideal recast. Besides, Tony's power is in his brain and his super suit. Who says he couldn't carry on into his 50's and further ?

Morgan has been cast as Col. Flagg in the Suicide Squad movie and if it takes off he's going to be pretty busy.

The official description of the movie

So Hank Pym could have created it in the 60's but stopped working on it

During the battle in the New York with all the Chitauri something was uncovered

So it doesn't have to be Chitauri origin based.

I'd be surprised if Suicide Squad really takes off (or any of the DC movies for that matter) but that may well rule him out.

I still think he'd be the perfect recast, for what that's worth...

Who is the woman standing next to Thor? I can't recognize her. On the far left is Maria Hill and on the far right is Black Widow.

As to Ultron's origins.. i could see Stark getting ideas from the Chitauri tech and putting his own spin on it which then slips out of his hands once it gains sentience and proves to be malevolent. I don't have a problem with that because they already changed many things for the MCU so it works in the movies.

They already made a change by giving Hank Pym's role to Stark so one more change is not going to end the world.

I've heard that she may be playing Suzi Endo who worked for Stark's cybernetics department. But that's not confirmed yet, I think.
