    Whats your opinion of them?

The first one was terrible. The second one is owrite after 30 minutes int it and third one is still coming.

I dont think it will be as bad as the first one. Thats a masterpiece in that regard.

    Where is the franchise heading?

If they're basing the films on individual items from the DMG, there will be many more sequels.

I give any possibility of a DND movie being good a -20 to it's CHA check.

Same writer and director as the second one. The second one was more earnest than the first one but didn't have the same energy (even if it was stupid).

The second one was pretty much a straightforward D&D campaign. Hero gathers a party and they go to save the day. The first one seemed to be constantly torn between asking forgiveness for being D&D and saying "Fuck it, it is just D&D." Neither were good, but the second one at least didn't make me cringe every few minutes.

Yeah, everything except the part where she was supposed to be a barbarian. Whenever she displayed berserker rage, etc. she'd put on this grimace more appropriate to, "Oh my Gawd. I like totally just broke a nail."

My favorite review of the first movie included the statement that the special features on the DVD were better than the film itself.
