The least disliked episode of TOS - Season One

This is a game that was played here a couple of years ago, and it proved to be a lot of fun, spanning across each Trek series, as well as a great way to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

I'd start by removing The Alternative Factor. It's completely and utterly incomprehensible. I still don't get what happened at the end, but I'd be willing to entertain any explanation... actually scratch that, I wouldn't.

S1 of TOS, was quite strong. But I'm going to go with "Mudd's Women". It's certainly not the best TOS has to offer. You have the men almost lusting after the women.

I am sure gonna eliminate Menagerie part 1 y'all. I thought both parts were mighty bad but at least part 2 explained the Spock thaing. It was just an excuse to show the original pilot y'hear?

I'm going to say "The Squire of Gothos" since it was the second that season to basically be a little boy with powers that can't control himself.

I am going with Return of the Archons. The whole idea of a society being essentially "drugged" for most of their lives except for when Festival comes around where they can rape and pillage with no consequences, is pretty stupid.

I think Trafalz was going off the wrong list. If you notice most of the episodes that have been removed are on his/her list still.

Returns of the Archons has also been removed previously, so my list is the last one people should go off of.

 

To get this list back into action, I'm going to get rid of another episode. Its getting a bit tougher. Better be quick. Ahhh. What Are Little Girls Made Of. Its a shame. Chapel should have been like this through the rest of the series.
