Hi, everyone. I will be having my 20th Anniversary at Trekbbs next month. I have only posted a few dozen times this year and even less last year. I really need to make an effort to post more.
If the legacy of this thread is every other twenty year TrekBBS veteran posting their own anniversary, I'll have finally redeemed myself for supporting Big Matty.
Late reply, but happy anniversary Your Wackiness! I'm fast approaching 20 years myself (even though I've posted like 20 times in 15 years lol), its been so long, I went from liking Trek then really snobbily disliked it for the better part of a decade, though I'm liking it again these days. Where did the years go though? Mainly involving travelling and rugby for me!
I'm still on the snobbily disliking is phase (except Lower Decks.) I like how names keep coming up here that I haven't thought about in 18+ years or whatever (no disrespect meant, there's just a lot of you.)
Lower Decks actually helped me start to relike it again! LOL Also this thread is better then any Older Time or Reunion thread that occasionally pops up. At least we know this Post is here and will always stick around. Like comfort food or chlamydia.
My favourite pastor. Hey whatever happened to Katie? She was really into the whole Christianity thing right?
Ah wow. So pleased to see some old names around these parts. I'll have hit 20 years myself though god knows when. I registered some time in 2001, but this was before you could change your username, and I wanted just "Mogh", so reregister it was. This was back in the day when you didn't want to be out of the Fleet Captains' lounge so I had to post like hell to get back there Delighted you're all not dead and still arsing around on the Internet. What's everyone up to? I started here as a high-school kid, and I'm currently a director in local government with a wife and a kid
OMG I can't imagine 20 years here. What will the web be like? Will we still have web browsers? Will we be dead?
We couldn't imagine it then. It was just strange, alluring new tech and these unusual social connections formed through the void and the ether. I certainly wouldn't have believed it would still exist in twenty years. Trust me, it's coming for you. You're already a quarter of the way there
