    Hi Justin,

    Of course I remember. :)

I think I'll release this one... I haven't released anything in a long time now, and I'm not aware of anyone else that has built one. :)

Awesome. Thats great news!!! The design is ugly. But ugly in a good way. Ugly in a villian way!! :D When you release it I'm gonna render an ambitious render of a bunch of Madverse ships trying to take her down!!

Is there any easy way to make this into a lower poly model? I need it for a paper craft

Ship models made out of paper. Some of them are quite stunning. Here is a page with some really good looking Battlestar stuff. How they do complex curves with some of these things (like the new Cylon Raider) is positively amazing.

I did some research into that. I am stunned and I seriously want to learn how to do that. Polar Lights and Diamond Select and Ban-Dai can all keep their overpriced models!!!

    Thanks guys. :)

Not sure about converting the model into a papercraft model... never done that. When I release the model, though, whoever wants to, can go for it. :)

Tonight's progress... got quite a bit more detailing done, and still refining some shapes. I keep finding more stuff to add. :)

I recommend not going overboard on adding too much. Seen good model get ruined by adding too much.

is it me, or is the area between the impulse engine and bridge kinda shaped like an Aircraft Carrier?

I see what you're talking about and it does look like a carrier.

    Thanks guys. :)

Really, really, close to finishing now. Most details are on, just need to add the deflector. After that, I can finally texture it. :)

Now on the Hot Wheels, the nacelles look a bit taller. It helps the swan like design flow a bit. You might want to compare yours. Yours is more accurate, of course.

Wow! :D Looking so very awesome, MadMan! Can't wait to see her textured up!

Off-topic: Intitially (before seeing the movie), I relegated the USS Vengeance to being a deliberately ugly / villianous starship design (intended that way, and wonderfully realised).

However, since then, she's grown on me in a way I didn't think possible, becoming one of my all-time favourite starship designs - period! So much so, that I don't even think she's ugly anymore - totally a beautifully angular, aggressive looking starship - in every possible way!

:) Big fan here! Love every aspect of her design - particularly the Primary Saucer - as well as her long angular recessed bussard nacelles, the colourscheme, and the forward deflector (with movable panels) - the Star Destroyer of Trek Starships!

Nahhh, it's still an ugly design (albeit deliberately so!), but MadMan1701A is doing him justice (somehow calling the Vengeance her seems inappropriate).
