I'm sure some of you remember Banshee, aka Diaper Kitty. Sadly she passed away last night. She was staying overnight at the vet initially for a urinary tract infection, but she apparently had a stroke as well, which caused a pulmonary embolism. She was only about 2.5 years old. I knew she probably wouldn't live too long due to her urinary and bowel issues, but this was far too soon. She was the most laid back and loving kitty I've ever known, and always loved playing with her "brother". Her brother giving her a bath. My daughter is going to be devastated by this. Banshee loved curling up in her bed with her. She will be missed.
Damn, just...damn. Several of us reading this thread, in effect, watched lil' Banshee "grow up". And while 2 and a half years is indeed far too short, it's still 2 and a half years she likely would not have had if you and your family had not rescued her. Sincerely, Bill
BJ, Sorry to hear about this. It sounds like she was a very loving cat. You and your family gave her a happy life that she likely would not have had otherwise
I'm really sorry to hear that B.J. You and your family did a great thing in taking that poor little kitty in. Not many people would have gone to lengths you did. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that you gave Banshee 2.5 years of wonderful quality of life that he probably wouldn't have had otherwise. He will be missed.
