After seeing Geoff's awsome stuff for Titan, I decided to try my hand at creating my own Trek Lit fan art. Up first is my version of Bruce Boxleitner (Commander then Presiden John Sheridan on Babylon 5) as Elias Vaughn from the DS9Relaunch. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this, in fact it's the first time I've touched photoshop in years, so it's a little rough.
I was also think about doing some posters like what you did for the Titan, books only this time for each series. I was wanted to find some more pictures to do other characters, in fact I tried to do Prynn today, but I could get the pictures I had to line up very well at all. So I'm probably going to do Katee Sackhoff as Christine Vale instead. I work all day both days this weekend, so it probably won't be done till Monday. If anyone else has any Trek Lit fan art that they want to share I don't mind if you post it here.
I was asked to do some Vanguard manips a while ago using the David Mack's suggested cast. Here's the results: Reyes (Tommy Lee Jones) Desai (Parminder Nagra) T'Prynn (Bridget Moynahan) Xiong (Jet Li)
Now that I have a thread more appropriate for it...meet Zurin Dakal. Also, here is a photomanip that Rabbitooth did for me, to represent Berat, from Betrayal. Obviously we've caught him in a much better moment than he was for the vast majority of that book! (The "actor" in question is Cal Ripken, Jr.) Spoiler: Stuff official TrekLit authors cannot legally view Berat (full name: Tayben Berat) also appears prominently in my Star Trek: Sigils and Unions series, including The Thirteenth Order and the short story "Let He Who Has Eyes See."
Very nice Starscape. Once I'm done checking out the other threads here I was going to get to work on Vale, and my DS9 relaunch poster. One of them should hopefully be up by the end of the night, or tommarow morning.
Two covers I did for my own fanfic - Amiga 2000 art done with Caligari 3D, ported to PC and finished off with Corel PhotoPaint and CorelDRAW: Bryce 3d art and screencaps assembled in Corel: From an old art contest here, my cover for a novelisation of "Measure of a Man":
i did something similar a couple years ago. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stpma...ode=tn&order=ordinal&start=1&count=20&dir=asc
Here's Vale (I couldn't find any pictures of Katee Sackhoff that matched the pic of Kira I was using for her body) and Vaugh 2.0
That's awesome!!!! Though, I was thinking someone a little grizzlier. Forbin, I love your covers!!! JD: Keep up the good work, but isn't Tapping a bit too recognizable?
Since this is fantasy casting I've picked mostly big names, hell I have Liam Neeson as Vedek Yevir. As for her appearance, that is pretty much how I imagined her as Vale.
Here is a work in progress version of my DS9 Relaunch poster. I'm looking for advise here, so please share any ideas you have. I want to put more stuff in the middle, I'm just not sure what to put there. I've been at it for about 6 or 7 hours so I'm pretty much done for the day. But I plan on working on it more tomarrow, and possibly some more characters. EIDT: I just found an awsome pic of the station, so I'll be adding that tomarrow.
