It would have been a monumental lulz if one of the 23rd century Klingons pulled off Worf's hat and saw the ridges in all their glory.

I reject the premise that DS9's Klingons are Augments on the following bases:

    1) ENT was not a Star Trek show for the first two Seasons of its original run. Therefore, ENT is not Star Trek canon.

    2) The final episode of ENT reveals that all the events in the ENT series are holodeck-program fabrications rather than events that actually occurred even within ENT's own story world.

No it was to tie in ENT with the rest of the franchise on a onscreen way, and what better way to do it then tying it in with TNG by means of a holodeck program that shows that by the time TNG comes around, ENT's mission is regarded with high enough respect for founding the Federation that the missions were remade into holodeck programs.

That is similar to saying Patton never existed, because you see him on a TV in another moving being watched.

My personal theory is that it was a severe allergic reaction to tribbles that caused the mutation.

And since then, the Tribbles have been hyper-sensitive to the now Klingon cultural hatred.

This would also be the cause of the "Great Tribble Hunt" that Odo referred to.

All of it is so embarrassing to Klingons -- that's why it's never mentioned.

"Do they still sing songs about The Great Tribble Hunt?"

Odo was so full of win when he said that to Worf

I could be wrong, but weren't they actually considering doing that?

    :brickwall:

    This will not end well.

Or, they were lower class individuals who, after they gained status as warriors, were able to gain access to the cure for theur "condition".
