I can only assess the first four and the last three Doctors as I started with the new show and have been working my way through the old show from the beginning. Next up would be the Key to Time season (can't afford the DVDs at the moment). Of those Doctors my favourite is David Tennant, closely followed by Jon Pertwee. My least favourite one is Matt Smith.
Tom Baker will always be my favorite Sided with my favorite companion probably of all time, Romana II
10, 8, 9. Then it'd be 6 and 2. Those two are always swapping around though. My bottom two would be 1 then 3. Boring oldies.
I'd have agreed with you at a time but Big Finish have seriously dumbed him down with that godawful new costume and stories that are trying desperately to resemble the worst excesses of New Who. 6 and 7 are the best Big Finish Doctors.
Well I voted for the fourth Doctor, he was the best all arounder to me a scientist, a rebel, an athlete, a buffoon and a certainly still a child. And IMO the Baker/Hinchcliffe/Holmes era was the most creative and productive era in the history of the show. And he's the most iconic of all of the Doctors along with his scarf.
8 and Charlie was definitely his golden era. 6 and Charlie were also good but yes I think over all 6 is the best BF Doctor.
It did have some absolutely wonderful stories; Invaders form Mars, The Chimes of Midnight, Scherzo, The Natural History of Fear...
