i just wrapped up TOS: Legacies Book 1 - Captain to Captain by Greg Cox. It was fantastic, now i have to wait a month for part 2, ugh. Till then, im getting back to my (long delayed) 24th century post-nemesis read-through with TTN: Orion's Hounds by Christopher L. Bennett.
Finished Kali's Wrath by KRAD. Good, but one of the characters mentions being Air Force and flying F14s at one point. (I'm just head-canoning that she was on an exchange tour ) Read Stalin's Hammer: Cairo by John Birmingham. It was ok, but I prefer the Axis of Time main series. (This being one of the shorter follow ons). Now, I've just started Defiant by Mike Shepherd. I enjoyed the pervious couple by him so this ought be good.
Doing yet another read-through of the Vanguard series (currently on 'Summon the Thunder' at the moment).......want at some point to hit Diane Duane's Rihannsu novels again though.
Still working way through "Typhon Pact" and read "Seize the Fire" and am now in "Rough Beasts of Empire"; however, I recently went on to my streaming video site (Canadian) and finally saw five ST TV series and TAS on the site. Wow! Just watched "The High Ground" ST-TNG. Just in time for celebration.
I finished both ST: The Fall: Revelation & Dust, and the first collection of Marvel's new Star War comic book series, Skywalker Strikes. I posted my thoughts on R&T over in it's review thread.
Started Star Trek Legacies: Captain to Captain by Greg Cox. I was very moved by the dedication in the beginning.
Thanks. My mom was actually still with us when I first wrote the first draft. Sadly, I had to change it to past tense by the time the book went to press.
Thanks . .. and my sympathies. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't waited so long to dedicate a book to my mom, but I guess maybe I was waiting for a book she might actually read.
I'm reading The Long Walk from The Bachman Books by Richard Bachman. I finished Rage the other night and 2012 last night.
Finishing up Hollow Men. Not crazy about it but I've always been wondering what I missed when I skipped it years ago. So I'm glad I went back and read it.
I'm coming to the end of Audacious by Mike Shepherd. I haven't decided it I'll go straight to his next just yet, or mix it up a little.
