So I'm reading Dark Victory "by" Shater and the Reeves-Stevens and there's a point on the Heiseberg where Captain Radison recreates the quake and tsunami that destroyed Malibu California on April 26, 2005. That's EXACTLY four months off from the December 26 Indian Ocean quake and tsunami that actually DID hit. What other Future History have the Trek books revealed?
Hmm, I wouldn't call "exactly four months off" much of a hit, especially when it gets the location completely wrong... Tsunamis aren't all that rare, and the Boxing Day one was notorious mainly for hitting a popular tourist resort in addition to all those regions nobody much cares about. An earthquake-tsunami that sinks part of California is actually an onscreen fact from VOY "Future's End", first aired in 1996. Although it was said to have taken place in 2047... One wonders if the Reeves-Stevenses just got the year wrong when writing Dark Victory three years later. Timo Saloniemi
