    Ah. That's disapointing.:(

Just tell me this, will Danny see another birthday or is that still hanging?

Danny's still alive. He was in "Spider-Island" last year I believe, and been around Hickman's books? Given the Netflix series it's a sure bet that he'll be getting an ongoing series at some point. I think Rich something like T'Challa and Danny are getting books??

He did have - it finished - it was crap.

And confirming what we already know but if you didn't...

When news broke that Marvel and Sony were rebooting the cinematic Spider-Man, social media erupted in pleas to have Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker as the friendly neighborhood hero.

It won’t happen on the big screen anytime soon, but the clamoring didn’t go unheeded. When the publisher opted to fold its Ultimate line this summer in their event series “Secret Wars,” Morales landed a permanent home — alongside a mentor in the grownup, genuine Peter Parker.

Yeah early confirmation of Miles new solo book, and Rich also reported this morning that Kelly Sue DeConnick has left "Captain Marvel" announced at HeroesCon yesterday.

was never a fan of her work on the book. i'm sure Marvel will keep the character around since her movie is a few years away.

If they cancel the book, then the narrative is that "Marvel hates women".

They certainly can't cancel Captain Marvel while a woman is writing it.

    One step at a time.

Maybe Marguerite Bennett will replace KSD.

The character has become to popular for them to not find a new writing to keep her book going.

The book will get a new writer. Rich's reported stated that she actually wanted to leave it before but was convinced to come back during her last contract talks.

I know Kelly Sue wasn't everyone's cup of tea...but I loved what she did with the character. My problem was that her writing at times was inconsistent and the Carol in Space arc didn't really work very well and seemed directionless. I understood the intent of it...but it wasn't great as it could have been.

It would seem we're gonna get a bunch of announcements soon as Rich as also reported that Spider-Gwen's future will be announced on Wed.

I wasn't a huge fan of her run, so I'm not sorry to see her go. The amnesia arc was stupid (and mostly ignored/had no effect on any of Carol's relationships with the various characters) and the Carol in Space arc has been going on way too long and has been mostly boring. Hopefully they'll get a new writer to revitalize the character/comic.

Captain Marvel is an interesting one in that the wider social media and con interest is really high but the actual sales on the book are fairly poor.

People seem to like the idea of Captain Marvel more than they like reading about her.

Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel finally met, in the last ####ing page of Ms. Marvel last week.

I liked Gennis, but frankly, Monica is my Captain Marvel.

Seems like they should have, but from how hard Kamala geeked out, maybe not.

I would have preferred Gillen or Bendis honestly. Aaron's work with Strange on OS just wasn't very good.

Gillen has stated that's he's taking a break from Marvel soon. Bendis already has two main books, I know how you feel about Aaron, but this excites me. I'm just glad that we're finally getting a Strange ongoing.

Yeah. I never used to be a fan of his...but I've come to enjoy his recent stuff and I thin he's a great fit for Doctor Strange.
