If somehow the TARDIS landed in your back yard which incarnation of the Doctor would you hope stepped out?
Davison or McCoy. McCoy because I liked the mystery his Doctor had, and Davison because you could be certain that he'd always have the perfect garnish handy for a Bloody Mary. Just the thing to pep you up before fighting Daleks.
The fifth Doctor or the second. You know, those who appeared to care if their companions survived their adventures.
Hmmmm. considering how the Doctor was when Ian and Barbara first joined him, I'm not sure I'd want to travel with a Young First Doctor I agree with Davison and McCoy on initial instinct, but, McCoy was abusive to Ace and Davison was far more dangerous then he let on, IMHO But, anyways, considering it all, I think Davison, Romana II/Baker, or McGann (Not sure I can rank the order for that, though)
good question. Second or Fifth. Both seemed to treat their companions well and genuinely care for them.
McGann as well. He seemed like the easiest to get along with. Troughton seemed like the most fun, but good luck ever getting back home again.
Pertwee, Troughton, Davison or Smith. Though really, anyone except Tennant and McCoy would be fine with me.
2 or 10, 2 if i have to pick one. The rest have a tendency to mistreat their companions or get them killed.
Two, Five or Eleven. Maybe Nine as well. I suspect I'd want to punch Ten if I travelled with him for any length of time. Similarly with Six. Seven I'd be too afraid that I was only being taken along as a pawn in some grand Machiavellian scheme. Eight, meh, Three would be too superior all the time and One...as has been said, I think the First Doctor, particularly a pre-Ian/Barbara Doctor, might be the most dangerous one of all. Four's the only one I'm not sure of, on the one hand he might be very cool, but on the other travelling with him might prove as annoying as travelling with Ten or Six.
I like this idea as well. He's one of my faves and it would be fun to relax in that comfy console room between adventures. Of course, I wouldn't mind 11 either, especially if Amy happened to be travelling with him at the time. However, if any of the other Doctors turned up, I'd hardly complain.
Can I have some guarantee first that I won't end up dead, trapped in an alternate universe, or permanently displaced in time before I sign up to go traveling with the Doctor?
NO, In fact, you need to sign a waiver to accept responsibility if any of those things should happen to you
