The irony is an animated GL:TAS toyline would've sold decently well I'd wager. The tie-in quality to the show was better which makes having them more appealing.

If the Wal-Mart where I work got in GL:TAS or Young Justice action figures, I honestly don't think I would have been able to resist getting a couple of them. As it is we got in Arkham City/Origins figures, and I'm finding some of those hard to resist.

My kids loved the show. I had to (well, that's overstating it) go to ebay and get the DCAU Lanterns that they had released. Hal Jordan was really only available via kitbashing a Sinestro/Abin-Sur/Hal in pilot suit release they'd done some years ago. We were lucky enough to get Razer out of a Happy Meal or something - he's original to the show.

The Beware The Batman comic is actually still coming out. I wonder how much longer it will last?

^Yeah, they're going to burn them off at 3 AM on Toonami. Well, thank goodness for DVRs.

They seem to be putting certain shows on Toonami lately.

Can't wait to finally see them! Thanks to my DVR, the timeslot is irrelevant! At least we're getting 15 whole new episodes.

I hope they put them online. I don't have an DVR, so I rely on online streaming for stuff I can't watch live.

Keep in mind that infinitely more popular Spectacular Spider-Man was never released as a complete season set on dvd. The second half was only released as volumes.

My guess is poor toy sales. I mean that's usually why good animated shows get cancelled, no?

To be fair though, it got off to a bit of a slow start and as a whole the show had this kind of flat, lifeless vibe going on. Didn't help much that the city always seemed unnaturally empty, but there you go.

I just wish they would push it up a time slot--save both Naruto programs for the last programs aired.

They didn't even go all in with the toyline. There was apparently happy meals and one 6 inch figure

There was also a tie in comic but I doubt that barely supported the shows big CGI budget

^Was the CG budget that big? The city did tend to be oddly empty most of the time...

^This type of CGI format has been known to be quite expensive

Transformers prime- a barren small town with hardly anyone

TMNT 2012- A couple of people in the city

Beware the batman- a barren Gotham with only the batmobile and one or two cars.
