So, when our Generator was serviced earlier this past week, the technician asked if I was aware that a tree fell over and is in danger of crushing the generator. Of course I wasn't aware at all, but a few weeks earlier we did hear a strange noise and wasn't sure where it came from. Well today I became a real man, I used a chainsaw for the first time. I can report that I am safe and sound, didn't loose any extremities. The fallen over tree Where the might tree snapped After the carnage, I will be taking my chainsaw Christmas tree hunting in the future.
Congratulations Ruaidhri! Awesome wallpaper Flux! Great shots as usual Ancient Mariner. I really need to get out there more often. Here's one of me and my daughter last month. Apparently I am her tiger who she likes to ride like a horse.
Ruaidhri, Aydin is beautiful. Congratulations! Yes, yes they are. I would highly recommend getting one to anyone. We have lost power several times and to have the peace of mind that we are good, adds a lot of confidence. The last time we lost power was for over two hours. It was erie being the only house on the block with power. Everything in the neighborhood was pitch black except out house.
Our Cub Scout pack had their Pinewood Derby this past weekend. My oldest has long since moved on to Boy Scouts, but this was the first time for my youngest. My daughter also wanted to participate in the "Outlaw" division. Here's his Y-Wing and her Disney Monorail: Since he's only 6, I did all the cutting. But he's the one that came up with the design, and painted it himself (I helped with masking). And he got first place in show for the entire pack!
I started going through some stuff I took last summer while visiting my family back in Canada. Here are a few from the cottage that I kind of like.
Great cars B.J. It inspired me to dig up the pics of my old Hot Dog and Coffin cars from my Pinewood Derby victories.
^ Nice! Exactly how old are those cars? The wheels lead me to believe they predate even my own time in Cub Scouts (early '80s).
