Well except for Bev, Vash, Kamala, Nella Daren, Anij. Why are we getting so many of those threads recently?
He rejected Bevs advances, was grumpy with Vash, the Daren chick was more like a platonic friendship and the other 2 we never hear about again. He had a closet relationship with Q.
Then I think that settles it. Maybe Picard didn't have any successful relationships with women, but that doesn't make him gay. To be honest, though, I wish we could have seen more of Anij.
Plenty of captains left in the ST universe for the OP to launch threads about. I can't wait until he hits the ST '09 subforum and asks about Robau. The results should be most entertaining.
In answer to this multitude of "Was XXXXXX gay?" threads, all you need to ask is simply this, does it make the show more understandable or enjoyable if he was? If yes, then look at Jean Luc that way, if no, then don't.
On 1:28 of this clip from the episode Qpid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UMqdF9cxoQ&feature=related Q to Picard about Vash: "She's found a vulnerability in you... a vulnerability I've been looking for for years. If I had known sooner, I would have appeared as a female." Warmest Wishes, Whoa Nellie
He was French so he was obviously gay. I suspect Vash was actually a Transexual. It's very obvious really. Actually, Data had far fewer relationships with women. He's the gay one. For sure.
I thought he was gay because he had a British accent, which makes one suspiciously close to actually being English, and therefore, gay...
theres a lot of homoerotic subtext in that clip. Yeah Data and Geordi were definitely gay, Wesley was gay too, they had failed relationships with women and seemed more excited being with each other. Good points about the British and French being gay. This would make Reed gay. Vash was definately a transexual, she kinda had a manly buckaneering personality.
