What did Keenser ever do to deserve a comparison to Jar Jar Binks??

He was totally inoffensive, and made me giggle doing the eye thing and wimper after seeing Scotty and Kirk off.

If the technology of the Abramsverse allows for the existence of a fully functional, indistinguishable from human, android like GATT2000, it must be WAY more advanced than the prime timeline...especially since Noonien Soong probably is a toddler, if that.

 

Maybe he was found somewhere and they don't know his origin and haven't been able to reproduce his tech.
