The Admirals character makes no sense whatsoever

    In "The Changeling", Nomad mistakes Kirk for its creator, Jackson Roykirk. So perhaps R. was supposed to stand for Roy?

    I need you guys to face the fact that a Starfleet Admiral would not try to destroy the Fedaration flagship with the loss of all hands.
