[/IMG]Hi all. We may have just found nothing at all. But we have 21 mint on card Next Generation figures of Admiral McCoy. made by Playmates in 1993. The weird thing is, that most have completely differently outfits, styles and head gear. I have looked everywhere for these and cannot locate on the internet and other figure released at that time other than the standard outfit. The other really weird factor on these is that the back of the cards has been signed (all of them).. by someone and the signature reads "Stan Jemkins… or Stan Jenkins.. something like that. Does anyone know about these. These are the regular TNG Playmates backing card with same type "Admiral McCoy" etc, but every figure is different. And being signed.. maybe these are comic con???? If anyone could shed some light, that would be much appreciated. Thanks & Live Long & Prosper.
I can add some pics, but it asks for a URL. I have never added a pic to a forum before… any tips? Can I just upload the jpegs to the post? I cannot see an option where I can do this. Thanks for your response and help.
I use an image host when I want to post pics. My favorite (and preferred) is PostImg. It's free, you can bulk upload, and it will make handy thumbnail links you can just copy and paste.

Okay, back to the original thread. Have a collection of about 21 TNG figures that are signed on the back by the same person. (have no idea who it is, other than their first name is obviously Stan. These figures are all of McCoy, but in different outfits and I cannot find them anywhere. Are these rare? Some of the figures can be seen on the link below! Thanks for you help, if you know what these are. http://postimg.org/gallery/bu0g4qqe/
There we go, now you've got it. As for the images, it looks like someone probably repainted them and added accessories, and then signed their work. There are people who are quite good at resealing the bubble packages, making them look mint even though they've been modified, and I'd just about bet that's what you have.
I concur, these look like customs. As to why all Admiral McCoy? As I recall, this figure wasn't particularly popular (who would have guessed kids wouldn't want a toy of an old man?), so the customizer probably picked them up on clearance.
I agree with both these views and from the shots available, the work looks quite good. If you are willing, tighten up the zoom, retake, and repost those shots. I'm sure there are many of us who would like to see these in finer detail. As for the cost, who really knows. I guess in this case, the value would be how much someone would want to pay for them. I couldn't really even say if there was much of a market for them out there. How and where did you find these? Were they stuffed in a box, lined up on a vendors shelf at a flea market, or were they obtained from an actual shop?
Welcome to the Forum. Looks like you figured out how to post a link to your image gallery. That's good... We don't normally encourage people to post 7 times in a row, but it looks like you were working this out. For the future, know that you can edit posts, and there are cheat tags for posting individual images at the top of the Reply box (looks like a yellow box with mountains in it). Thanks
Thanks for the response guys. Appreciate it. We also contacted a Star Wars dealer for feedback and seems you are all right. These "by majority" are customs. Seems, like you say, a serious collector has completely changed good 'ol McCoy. I will say he has done a fantastic job, as they look brilliant. On better inspection we have noted that on some he actually cut the blister… which all in all, makes these not valuable, but certainly interesting and worth something to someone, coz they are so good. So we decided to get rid. We put them up on Ebay tonight…. so let's see what gives. Thanks all for your help. I appreciate it a lot.
