Anybody ever done it? Seems a natural to me. Did the providers live up to their promise? Is Triskelion now self-governing? A member of the Federation?

An excellent short story in the first "Strange New Worlds" told of Shahna's future on Triskelion.

    http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Shahna
"In 2293, Shahna was an ambassador, and attended a diplomatic conference on Earth, where she was briefly reunited with Kirk prior to his presumed death on the USS Enterprise-B. (TOS - Strange New Worlds I short story: "The Lights in the Sky", TLE novel: Excelsior: Forged in Fire)."

Beware of any additional spoilers before reading the SNW story.

Just chiming in to say that "The Lights in the Sky" is one of the finest stories to come out of SNW. :)

Plus I think Shahna appears in one of the Sulu audio books. But I do remember that one story had Shahna heading to Earth on a shuttle as the Ambassador of Triskelion to the Federation, and it was shortly after the opening of Generations.
