I noticed Will's adopted a more Hannibal-esque appearance at the end - short, slicked hair, brighter attire. He's clearly moved on from making physical threats to playing a more psychological game with the Chesapeake Ripper. Makes you wonder just how close Will's going to become to Hannibal in order to catch him.
I thought that was more to finally being able to get a decent shower and shave after being locked up.
Dr. Chilton may not be dead. Look at Miriam Lass after all. I've learned with Hannibal that nobody is dead unless you see a body.
Watched Silence of the Lambs on NF yesterday and he was very much alive, he had control of everything pertaining to HL. Had me thinking Hannibal must be a reboot/alternate universe OR this was a set-up. But yeah, he really did look dead, so I don't know...
I was wondering... If when they finally catch Hannibal in season 4 or 5, that his last free words are are in a British accent saying "Oh what a relief, I can stop talking like that now."
Why not have him on the run for 2 episodes and be done with it? I wouldn't mind that, I'm not interested in seeing Hannibal on the run at this point because that's what we'll see after he escapes. There was no brain splatter, the bullet came out of his neck, the brain is save and tv magic might save the spine too. What are you talking about? Of course it's an alternate universe, that was never up for debate, the series is not in continuity with the novels or any other previous adaptation.
I'll have to watch it again. I thought I remember it as coming out the back of his head. ETA: Just watched it again. The bullet comes out the back of his head. not the neck. Watch here at the 39minute 47second mark.
Okay. I never read the novels as my interest in HL has always been limited to whatever movie on the subject came along, and of those, I didn't see them in chronological order so my sense of previous continuity wasn't clear to begin with. This actually makes Hannibal even better since all that past continuity is scrapped and the future is wide open for anything. Thanks for setting me straight.
Fuller has an interview on AV Club for every episode this season. He didn't exactly close the door on Chilton.
I like how things are turning out in the most recent episode. Will is becoming far more interesting a character and his arc is shaping up nicely. Or is this just a big trap for Lector?
That 4 way sex scene was............weird! The dude playing Mason Verger is freak-eee. And did Will really do what it looks like he did?!?
