Then, suddenly, Cumberbund picked up the comm to Simon Pegg and said...

    "Execute Order 66..."

    The poster is nice, though.

I don't get why everyone is whinging about the dark knight poster. The resemblance is superficial at best. But then people are doing the same thing about the ME3 posters, so i shouldn't be surprised I guess.

^I haven't noticed whining, but nothing is wrong with noticing an unmistakable, but well-made, ripoff. The poster is nice, but it makes me ready for the next batman movie, not whatever they are doing with Star Trek. And the fact that I have to say "whatever" is kind of too bad. I'm not talking about giving out a bunch of details, but rather the idea that this movie has its own identity. That was what was nice about the last Batman trilogy. It didn't seem to be doing what everything around it was... I do hope this film succeeds, though.

Which part of "detonated the fleet and everything it stands for" is confusing to you?

Thanks. :) I had been thinking about it since I read some of the comments earlier, and built it in a little over an hour tonight. :D

"Empire Strikes Back" stands with large and clear print, however "star wars" is small and opaque. Many people will not know it's star wars. Is this part of marketing?

Hey! Don't diss on 'Art' Movies! What do you mean by 'art' movies? Drive, Rust and Bone, and The Dark Knight Rises can all be considered art films but those films all have coherent narrative structures.

:techman: Reminds me a lot of the scene in Trek '09 where the Enterprise rises out of Titan. Very cool.

If/when they attempt that, I wouldn't mind if it looked close :techman:
Though I keep hearing Roger Moore saying "Can you swim? " :)
