True, and then you have Terrance Howard as James Rhodes in Iron Man... then when you get to see War Machine down the road, it's not even that actor anymore.

Exactly. So they may just be casting "Carol Danvers," not necessarily Ms. Marvel.

Well, nine years in real time passed between her first appearance as Carol Danvers of NASA and her becoming Ms. Marvel. Who knows how long that was in Marvel time?

Your question reminds me of an old Golden Girls episode where the ladies are talking about the comic strip "Mary Worth" and one of them says she stopped reading the strip decades ago, asks what's been going on since. I think it was Rose who answered, "Well, it's later that same day..."

So Kamala is a shape shifter activated by terrigenesis, and when she decides to become a super hero subconsciously cracking out of her egg, this good Pakistani girl, transforms into a Blonde Caucasian... Is she a stock image of a white blonde girl, or is she Teen Carol? If she's walking around with Carol's face, that's a completely different conversation than walking around with Carol's costume... Now for a really dark question (no pun intended, but I see it, and it's no funny.) what is her baseline form? Is it possible that Kamala is now a white girl and only through/by using her powers can she 'temporarily" turn back into an Asian? Now just for a giggle... Is she naked? Her "costume" is not what she was wearing when she went into her egg, and it certainly wasn't made from unstable molecules, which is a viable question because from the previews what she is seen wearing seems to react to her Reed Richards like stretching abilities just like Reed's costume made form unstable molecules... Mystique is always naked.

I liked it when the shadow of Carol inside Rogue took over Rogue and dressed her up in the lightning bolt/slash costume, and all went well till half way through a fight with Mastermold and Carol was knocked out, throwing Rogue back into the driving seat where she says "ARRGH! WHAT THE HELL AM I WEARING!?"

If she was a few years younger, I'd say that Amanda Tapping could and should play Ms. Marvel (her character on Stargate SG-1 was like Carol Danvers in a lot of ways) but I know that Marvel wouldn't even consider it.

 

Not surprised it isn't Wakanda, that seemed like wishful thinking to me.

 

Could still be easter eggs pointing towards Wakanda in the scenes. Maybe a sign for "Visit Beautiful Wakanda" as a convoy goes down the road. Maybe a TV is on and a Wakandian Representative is on talking about issues on the continent?

Kevin Feige is keeping Black Widow's character arc on an ever increasing upward trajectory. He discusses her role in Age of Ultron but it's the almost after thought addendum that has me hopeful.

Black Widow solo film!!!

Far from concrete but the notion that it's on the table and "some development" has been done with the possibility is great news.

 

Ultron probably wants Black Widow as his future bride.

 

Who doesn't?

 

We might still see Wakanda in AoU after all.
