I'm anxiously awaiting any leaks or spoilers!! I know I shouldn't but I've forever been ruined for this. Its 2 years of news and anticipation now. Frankly as a 40 year old male, I still love it.

Here's what we know, and the rumors...

After getting the "family" together in the last film, this will "test" that family. (standard vague interview comments)

There will be a female Vulcan in it (supposedly from someone spying on Orci's iPad)

The deflector dish/array is namedropped. (trekmovie.com)

Simon Pegg tells us "some scenes will take place in outer space" (twitter)


...that's the film spoiled for me .

 

Here's what the movie needs to do: Kirk needs to be tested. Kirk needs to grow up.

If the testing also involves the whole "family," that sounds like a plan.

The rest can be whatever. Khan, tribbles, Khan wearing a coat made of tribbles, etc.

Part of me wants some news leaked out, and another part of me wants to go into the theater next year with no preconceived ideas about the film.

I'm sure I'll be checking back here often to get the scuttlebutt.

 

We must have details now so we can pre-complain.

 

My feelings exactly. It'll be very hard to not click threads screaming about news. I had no pre-conceived ideas about the last movie and was much better for it.

 

I am the same way. Part of me wants to go into the movie knowing nothing then there is another side of me that wants to everything!

 

I'll watch that!

 

I want it all except for the ending and major plot points. Otherwise, I've never gone to a movie and been spoiled by what I already knew (again, with the exception of big things like "Darth Vader is Luke's father, or Spock actually doesn't die but then dies!)...

 

Goddamnit, ruined the movie!

Sigh. First time travel and now this. Space has been used in every single movie (and Voyager ran it into the ground!)... can these guys not come up with anything original?

Production stills would be sweet as long as they hint at the plot but don't give it completely away.
