Which reminds me of another one: What color is Kirk's uniform? Avocado, gold, yellow or mustard?

If you want to get into that sort of thing, then a big one is the mass of the TOS Enterprise. :scream:

Tatv. And Trip's unecessarily death & being killed off in such a crappy way. Kirk's death in Generations when the script was leaked on the internet. Soran shoots Kirk in the back with a phaser and he dies.and the fan uproar made them rewrite Kirk's death at the end was reshot with Kirk falling over a cliff it still sucks.Gates Mcfadden being Fired. Tasha Yar's lame death in season 1. Terry Ferrel's character being killed off in season6.

Ironic and shameful that two that come easily to mind came from VOYAGER. VOY had so many wonderful moments that were punctuated by sheer suckitude. ANother controversial one of course is ENT's Similtude. The underlying issue is so much more important than ANIS's foolishness. TATV, well, I'm thinking around it and dislike it more because it was pawned off as the poor little cousin of TNG.

I just checked MA and I was wrong and The Wormhole was right (he's The Count, so he's always right), it was Jake. No idea why I thought it was Dorn.

That's probably it. I keep forgetting that Jake was in that episode.

    And that he exists. :p

The sombrero one is the most controversial of all.

    I say they are.

    In retrospect...

    Ferengi on ENT: Bad idea.

Borg on ENT: Good idea (because they did it only once and it fit in nicely with "First Contact").

    HA! So true.

Oh and Neelix was definitely a pedophile, the dates confirm it.

Actually, I preferred the original, except that it was a bit too close to John Wayne's death in The Cowboys.

Didn't Kirk kiss France Nuyen before Uhura? I realize Nuyen is bi-racial, but anything mixed with white blood in this country usually sends white people into a froth. Also, didn't Lucy and Ricky ever kiss in the 1950s?

I'm surprised that the concept of DS9 has not been mentioned. DS9 was extremely controversial in Trek fandom when it was released. I remember Usenet being ablaze at the time.

Now that it has been accepted by many, I think people are forgetting the outrage. It is easily in the top five controversies, if not top three.
