If I remember correctly, the weapons bay was located in the upper secondary hull. When this movie comes out on blu-ray, I will be able to speak with more certainty.

In a nuclear reactor, turbines generate electricity. So, conceivable, the turbines aboard the Enterprise convert the warp energy into a form that can be used by the ship's systems.

It's not upper. The camera shows the launch tubes opening closer to the underside of the ship; you can tell it's the underside because the impulse engine is visible in the background, as is one warp engine for an instant. That means the weapons bay is somewhere slightly forward and below the shuttle bay, which makes sense if those tubes were originally meant to launch probes, drones, mines or ODST drop po-- er, I mean, "escape pods" like the one Kirk took to Delta Vega.

^ Now, if you could just get us a screencap of the opening of the launch tubes, I would be a happy man :D

While I have to admit that I still do not care for the Brewery used as an engine room (but I will live with it!), I thank King Daniel for this graphic (and for you reposting it, Locutus. The other issue I had with the engineering sets (especially the one seen in the 'chase scenes' over the catwalks that are suspended over the tops of the tanks) was that the secondary hull wasn't large enough to contain all these expansive areas. Carefully considering this graphic has made me finally appreciate how much larger the jjprise is, and that Engineering can contain such large sets (even if I still don't care for the sets themselves. Thank you, King Daniel!

If I may attempt to alleviate your dislike for the brewery, I was a bit shocked in 2009 when I saw it, but then realised that, if they build real spaceships with artificial gravity, the machinery will probably look like that: exposed and accessible, rather than cozy and admiralty-presentable.

    Just a question here......
I have seen entire scenes from the film posted on Youtube and screencaps such as the one above.
My question is where are they coming from?
Since the DVD has not been released and I can not find a site that has these kind of images where are they coming from?

A few of us board members are from... the FUTURE.
    (kidding)

So, Ive heard that sometimes some people go to the movies with their video cameras or cellphones, and they record the movies with it. Then that person takes the recording and puts it on the internet. These people are known as the illegal pirate bootleg gang bastards.

So then, other people, who don't do that, find these recorded movies while surfing the internet. they download them to their computers and use clips and screen caps from them on message boards. These people are knows as, well.. remember that episode of Voyager when the Doctor uses that Cardassian hologram to save B'Elanna Torres' life, even tho his knowledge came from killing a bunch of Bajorans? K so pretend you are Torres, wanting to see the torpedo launch tubes or whatever. The Doctor is the board member who wants to help you. The Cardassian is the dude who uploaded the pirated bootleg to the internet, and the Bajorans are Bad Robot.
