I think that is looking back on one of the nacelles.

Quoted for the truth. You can see where the sides slope up in the final shot.

^ Looking forward from the back of the nacelle actually.

To the extreame right and left are the intercoolers.

Is it safe to be welding so close to the huge eletro-magnets inside the nacelles ?

The shot is from the front of the engine, looking toward the back. If we were looking forward, where is the saucer?

Huh, here I initially thought it was the secondary hull, but taking a second glance, it's obviously one of the nacelles.

The intercoolers assemblies must be the "wings" some of the reports were speaking of as well.

I can't decide if it's facing the front or the back of the nacelle.

Aren't the intercoolers on the backs of the nacelles, not the front.

The shot is from the back of the nacelles looking forward.

The raised dome-like shape at the end is consistent with the front of the nacelles.

The saucer is not visible because of the odd angle and the fog.

Too low to be seen in this shot. I initially thought this was looking toward the back, as well, but there's wayyyy too much distance to what are clearly more people standing on the nacelle in the background.

    ^ Yep ! ^

The saucer is down and to the left or right from here, depending on witch Nacelle this is, they both look alike from back here after all.

Put me in with the "from the front of the nacelle looking back" crowd.

    Great question.

I don't think it's been satisfactorily answered yet.

Those "wings" are toward the front of the nacelle. Given the angle, looks to be looking forward.

I don't think those 'wings' are toward the front - that image uses a very long 'lens,' compressing everything. I'm pretty sure those are in the typical location of the intercoolers (and frankly I can't say I like them streamlined like that!), which would put the other shot looking forward. Those guys in the distance appear to be standing on the "Gabe Cowl."

Based on the sizes of the workers, how large does that make this nacelle?

If it's the nacelle, it has to from the back looking to the front. In the head on shots of the Enterprise, you see the intercoolers at the very back. In this shot, there is waaaaay too much space beyond those intercoolers to be from the front - back. These are from the back looking front.

Also to note the intercoolers have a slight decline in curvature starting from the further top point from the camera and coming to the camera.

In the head on shot, from what we can see, this is happening from front to back.

    Roughly speaking Dennis ?

    I'd guess around 500 / 600 ft long perhaps ?
