Every little bit counts when you're trying to lose weight. It all matters and should be celebrated.

Went there for a family wedding, was in Korea for two weeks. Several days in Ulsan (where the wedding was), rest of the time in Busan and 2 days in Seoul. Was walking, climbing stairs, walking, standing on subway, walking walking walking for like 12 hours a day which has left my legs rock hard. However was also eating eating eating eating like a lunatic (and of course drinking) and so despite all that walking and climbing I feel like I've gained twenty pounds

I will do a post with some pics soon.. every night I uploaded a couple hundred to my flickr account a process which would take me an hour in Australia and took a few minutes in Korea. So I was like UPLOAD it all NOW! Yes even the internet was exciting, I was in a state of infatuated exhausted excitement over everything.

I was TDY with the Air Force in S. Korea in 1988 right before the Olympics. I was stationed at an Airbase in Cheongju. I got to walk all over the city and up to Seoul several times. Even got to goto the DMZ for a few days.

Wow, the Korean DMZ? What was that like? I'm assuming you mean you went to the official, public buildings and landmarks along the DMZ that are patrolled by American and South Korean military police and not inside the actual DMZ itself? Either way, very cool.

I wasn't there in an official capacity, just a tourist like anyone else. In fact, if you don't work the DMZ you're not allowed to go there in uniform. Well it was that way when I was there, I'm pretty sure that is still enforced. It was very surreal visiting, I didn't have my camera to take pictures. I ran out of disks, thats right I had a kodak disk camera, didn't take great pictures anyway.

I was able to find a few photos from my Korea trip, unfortunately they aren't that great. Most of them are pics from out of the bus that moved us from Pohang to Cheongju.

The Olympic sign, not sure where this was taken.

At a Korean restaurant that served the best Bulgogi, they actually gave it to you raw at the table and you had to cook it yourself.

This is some dude that was on my team, but I can't for the life of me remember his name. At the same restaurant.

The guy with the shovel in the jacket was our 1st Lieutenant.

Here is a picture of me and the team actually in Alaska before we went to Korea. I'm the tall guy on the right holding the rifle, in the kevlar helmet.

I was at the supermarket today, picking up a few things for dinner for tonight. I wondered over to a refrigerator section I normally don't go by, was looking for something different. I found a case full of Bermese Python and Aligator meat. Who's buying this at over $30. A pound. Plus, do they have Bone-In Python? You know for the extra flavor.
