He sounds like the British man that he is, so does this mean that his character is definitely British? Also lets not forget the poster he is obviously in London. If that where the case then he might not be Gary Mitchell.

I think people have completely forgotten the fact that his character might be brand new to the trek universe.

He means that Patrick Stewart has a British accent and was playing a Frenchman.

    Uh...what?

I don't want to belabor the obvious, but Patrick Stewart sounded exactly like a British man, and with good reason.

I'd love to see him do some Darmok and Jalad with that accent.

So what you're saying is that you've never actually watched a single episode of TNG.

How many threads is this, this morning, for serenitytrek1 to comment on trivia from the trailer?

How many preexisting threads do we have in this forum intended for commentary about the trailer?

^You should start a new thread asking those questions. In fact, two new threads, one for each question.

I got the impression that after First Contact the world became extremely globalised in a short time to the point where English became the first language. I think Data refers to French as a dead language in season 1? So I'm guessing other languages are kind of like Latin, Welsh etc.

I guess I am the Non partisan Film fan who just happens to love star trek.

While you guys are drooling over the non stop action.I am looking at other quality things like the actor's acting.

This thread was about his accent though and whether or not he is a British Character. Not his acting.
