I can't believe that 2 Broke Girls gets higher ratings than almost everything else on Monday night. I hate that stupid show.
I think it's funny. It's borderline stupid, but I've stuck with it because I find the leads irresistable.
Can I just say I loved that Gossip Girl and 90210 both managed to fall under a million for their premiere and both scored .4 in adults 18-49 (in finals) and .5 in adults 18-34 and .7 and .8 in w 18-34. Ha, Ha....
FOX really needs to up its game for the next development season. I was flabbergasted how dull their choices were last May (not that the pilots they passed on sounded any better, so the problem could be downstream). FOX needs something along the lines of Revolution, or even Last Resort, which probably would have fared better on FOX. Action, violence, military stuff, sci fi-ish. They're boring their audience with the same old show types.
Last night was a CBS night for me. I don't know about anyone else but, those singing, dancing, variety shows make me wanna gag.
I watch NCIS, Ben & Kate, The Mindy Project, and Go On. Tuesday is probably the most boring night on TV for me, too.
I'm glad that Modern Family does so well. I remember receiving an email to watch a "sneak preview" of the pilot well before it aired on TV, and thinking it was absolutely hilarious. Then I read the comments that others who watched the preview were writing and they were overwhelmingly negative, about how disgusting it would be to have a gay couple adopting a child on TV, and that they would try everything in their power to make sure the show never aired. Depressing to read at the time, but obviously their efforts didn't work too well, so HA! You suck.
B&tB benefitted from TVD lead-in but it won't last. It can't attract the guys like Arrow and it doesn't have an Ian Somerhalder type for the girls.
Based off all the ratings I've seen in the past few weeks, CBS is facing an 18-49 demo collaspe which along with the struggle FOX is having to replace its past shows and the hole NBC has been in for the past few years I wonder if theres room for so many networks with cable and other sources chipping away at them.
