I think Yeoman Randi is rather subdued compared to some of us!

Here's a TrekMovie item which includes new clips from the Casting (Scotty) and Behind the Scenes featurettes.

New Star Trek DVD/Blu-ray Featurette Clips

Also has a repeat of the breakdown showing which extras are part of which sets, for those who haven't seen them before.

Is anyone else amused by the constant banner ads promoting the new Star Trek DVD/Blu-ray on the site today? Isn't that kind of preaching to the choir?

I posted this in another thread, too; but I was just checking, and the 3-disc blu-ray edition is #1 at Amazon currently, with the single-disk DVD at #2. That's in all of "Movies and TV."

Since I don't have a Blu-Ray (yet):( What are my best options when buying a DVD? Widescreen is a given but are there 'different' DVD's available that include more extras or are they all the same?

For DVD, you'll want the Two Disc set. It doesn't have everything the Blu-Ray has, but it's got a lot of nice features, like a behind the scenes featurette, a gag reel, commentaries and the like.

i purchased the three-disc Blu-ray edition. the steelcase Blu-ray edition is a nice touch but i passed on that option. in early December i'll have a chance to watch the film; should be a great experience judging by the several reviews online.

I'm pretty sure they do have deleted scenes.
Someone on here has the complete feature list, I can't remember where it is, though.

^The two-disc DVD DOES have the deleted scenes (9 of them, IIRC).
