While looking up some guest stars on a TOS episode, I came across these pictures. Without Googling or otherwise cheating, can you identify this actress or her role? (The guy next to her is kind of a clue.)

Here's another guest. Who is this?

Figured out the first one, but I cheated so I won't say. ;)

Is the second one Yeoman Barrows from Shore Leave?
EDIT: Yes, I see that it is.

Wow, I would have never gotten Yeoman Barrows. To me she is still hot and running around in that red dress, lol.

I got No. 1, but I did it in a dishonorable way (google) so I won't divulge it here. I'd have never guessed it.

I worked it out by looking at her through an extreme squint until she looked younger.

I was bored, and happened to wiki Emily Banks, and that led to the fact that she was a former Miss Rheingold - which probably means nothing to anyone here, but here is a link to a nice page about it: http://missrheingold.com/ - that picture is from a documentary that is being done about the contest.

It really was quite the big deal in its day - winning that made for a solid years worth of a steady, high profile modeling gig, not to mention getting your name out there. Quite a few Miss Rheingolds had very successful modeling careers for years, and some ended up in Hollywood.

In fact, Trek was graced by TWO Miss Rheingolds during its run - not only Ms Banks, but also Celeste Yarnall, The Apple's Yeoman Landon!

It's worth noting that, in addition to her modeling and acting career, the lovely and multitalented Ms. Yarnell is also a successful commercial real estate entrepreneur, talent manager, and author of books on pet care. About the only thing she hasn't done is run for public office.

Is #1 the actress who played Yeoman Tina Lawton? (aka Charlie X's lizard). I don't know the actresses name without looking it up, so that part I can't say.

As the OP pointed out, the guy with her in the picture is a big clue.

The actress is Nancy Kovack (Nona in "A Private Little War"). The man is orchestra conductor Zubin Mehta, to whom Nancy has been married since 1969.

It's only a clue if you know who he is, which I didn't. Remember Masao said no Googling ;)

Now that I know, I can kind of see it now if I focus on the eyes.

It's pretty interesting how it seems people tend to resemble their younger selves easily through their 60s but at some point aging takes it toll (many people, but certainly not all) somewhere in their 70s and they really start to become much harder to recognize when put up against their younger selves.

For example if you look at Shatner I think we only easily recognize him because he's never really left mainstream media.

It's amazing how some people don't change all that much as they age, yet others transform into almost entirely different people altogether!

Lena Horne and Dick Clark were famously ageless. Cyd Charisse still looked much the same in her 70s as she did in her 40s. And Olivia Newton-John is still looking pretty good these days for a woman on the far side of 60.

Of course, some of that is down to the plastic surgeon's knife. But ultimately it's just the luck of having the right genes.

Yeah, he pretty much gives it away.

And then again, perhaps it might mean something, after all.

Wow, Barbara Bouchet has certainly aged gracefully! Much more so than Nancy Kovack.

If I'm correct, one of only two performers to appear with the original Star Trek, original Battlestar Galactica, and original Monkees (if the New Monkees ever made it to the screen at all). :)

The great Arlene Martel, of course!
