We're also getting Captain Hook, and I don't believe Peter Pan is considered a fairy tale. Although it does involve fairies....
Hmm, I wonder if one of their fairies is going to be revealed as Tinkerbell?

And is "Pinocchio" a fairy tale? It's a story by Carlos Collodi, not an old folk tale like Snow White or Cinderella.

Although it does have a Blue Fairy in it . . . .

Well Disney did turn them into animated movies so that makes them Disney 'fairy tales' and Disney is involved with Tim Burtons Frankenweenie ;)

A lot of the non traditional 'fairy tale' type stories are probably having characters on the show because of their Disney association. We have Lancelot appearing this year and Disney had The Sword in the Stone movie in the 70s.

The show constantly refers to them as "storybook characters," hence the, ahem, clever name of the town. And "storybook" is generally used to refer to books with stories aimed at children. So that's hardly limited to Grimm's Fairy Tales.

That said, I really don't consider Frankenstein to be a story aimed at children. And if he is Frankenstein, that means a lot of screwed-up stuff should be around, too, least of which being his monster.

It could just mean he's been bumped to recurring.

I wonder who they'll get to play Buzz Lightyear and Wall-E. :p

Disney owns Marvel so who's gonna play Howard the Duck?

I was wondering what would happen to Giancarlo Esposito's character and I found this...

Giancarlo Esposito open to 'Once Upon a Time' return despite 'Revolution' pickup

It worked for Kingdom Hearts ;) Which I think probably had 95% of every Disney character cartoon/live-action appear in the course of the first or second game. Even had a Tron World.

I think maybe the only Disney stuff that didn't appear was Song of the South (locked away in the vault lol) and maybe Black Hole.

Well, it was a lot of the most popular stuff. There are a lot of lesser known movies that didn't get brought into the KH universe.

Very surprised to see Regina's mom at the end. I thought she was in either our world or wonderland.

I laughed when Dr. Whale asked if the fairies were truly nuns or if they can date. He is the town's sleazeball.

Hook is coming. Could Whale be a leacherous Peter Pan? (There is nothing to support this. I know.)

It was nice to see Jefferson for a split second.

It was, but it was sad to see that both he and August look like they'll be MIA for a while. Understandable for SS since he has to go film Captain America 2, but I'm sorry to see August disappear - although if Emma is going to be stuck in the Enchanted Forest for probably half of the season, August wouldn't have much to do in Storybrooke aside from reuniting with Gepetto and I suppose that can wait.

I had exactly the same thought, but then I wondered how Regina's father ended up trapped there too and surmised that at some point they must have switched places.
