Agreed. The MSRP should have started at $59.95, but Paramount will never learn. They expect fans to shell out the coin despite the economy. At $60 its a good selling point... not so much at $100+

Why should it? It's obviously selling well enough at its current price point, and Paramount's making an extra $20 per copy that they wouldn't have at the lower MSRP.

I just watched "The Last Outpost" last night and I think I spotted something that wasn't caught in the EAS article. There are a few shots when coming back from commercial break a bit a ways into the episode where we see the viewscreen from Tasha's position behind the railing with the Marauder on the screen. If you look down on the right side of the screen near the emergency turbolift you can see some sort of leg that is part of the studio equipment!

    Check it out!

I was going to hold off and wait to buy the blu-ray, but I couldn't resist. The price came down on amazon so I had to buy it and it does look amazing! I'm really happy with it, except for one thing (besides the audio issues), I really wish CBS would have left the old Paramount A Viacom Company logo at the end of the episode credits. And then add the new CBS logo. I know it sounds nitpicky, but it's something I really like to see with old shows. I have the Dennis the Menace series on DVD and love to see that old Screen Gems logo. Heck, even the Brady Bunch DVDs kept the old Paramount A Gulf + Western logo.

A question for anyone who has emailed their info to the folks handling the disc replacement. After you emailed your info, did you receive a confirmation that your info had been received? Just curious if I should expect one.

Can we assume the figures are worldwide sales? The website doesn't specify. Based upon the number of units, I'd guess so. Also, I'm guessing the 5.725 million is USD. Where did you find this figure?

    He got it from here:

    http://www.the-numbers.com/weekly-bluray-sales-chart

And the figures are domestic, not worldwide.

You mentioned the $9 million they put into it and I remember that this number has been mentioned before but what I don't remember is, if this is the money they put into just the first season or into the whole project. Do you remember? Thanks!

Just watched Arsenal of Freedom, and somehow I remember it being a lot cooler when I was a kid (what with the crew being hunted by killer drones and Geordi taking command of the Enterprise). But the episode doesn't really do a whole lot with the cool premise, and the fake-looking jungle set makes it awfully hard to buy anything that's going on.

I do still really like that creepy scene with Riker's friend Captain Rice though.

And jeez, just how many different Chief Engineers did the show go through in the first season anyway? I completely forgot about that snarky asshole Logan.

True, but I think it's safe to assume that the subsequent seasons will be a little cheaper do to some of the start-up costs, such as shipping the film, initially compositing of stock shots, creation of cg elements, etc.

No confirmation of receipt, just a followup later asking for specific information.

I sent that in, included a line asking for confirmation that my submission was complete, but got nothing back.

I think I'll call the number too. I don't want to make any assumptions.

Five or six CEs in the First Season of the top of my head, again, I assume the Enterprise was serving as a "training ship" for the new technologies and other Galaxy-class ships before LaForge took over as CE as was intended when recruited by Picard. (Which is why we often see Geordi involved in some engineering stuff.)

And Logan has nothing on Lieutenant Commander Leland T. Lynch.

Thanks. That's much higher for just the USA than I would have guessed.
