A sense of humor is worth a lot of points.
This makes me sad. Photo Booths are one of the great joys in life!

There are balloons in the background of this picture of me and my little sister at our older sister's baby shower. This is one of my favorite pictures ever:

Was the bear placed there for the pic or did it just happen to be there?

I had bought the bear only a few minutes before from the shop at Woodbridge so that I could put him in many photos as I walked around the town. I called him Woody after the township.

totally off-topic: how do you call these tiny yellow plum-like fruit? Reneclaudes?

Thanks :) I always wondered what the English name for them is. It's amazing that you still have fresh ones, so late in the year. We turned ours into jam 4 weeks ago. I'll have the last (deep frozen) ones for supper today in a pork stew with onions, white wine, caraway, dill, peppermint, vinegar and cream (recipe by Apicius)

Rhubarbodendron, there is nothing quite like watching the sun set on the beach and then walking/driving to dinner either on the Santa Monica pier or somewhere at the Cheesecake Factory on PCH.

    Nice pic.

Ahhh. I have some awesome pics of my niece and nephew drawing with coloured pencils...but my family has a strict "no pictures of us online!" rule. Even Hubby has only ok'ed the use of one photo on this site. Sigh.

Imagine 2 kids bent over a coffee table, hard at work on an art project. The boy has his brow furrowed in concentration, and the girl has her tongue poking out of the corner of her mouth.

Looking forward to seeing the actual pencil pic!

wait, let me get that right: is the next one supposed to be a pic of pencils or a pic drawn with pencils??

Captain Ice, I've never eaten anywhere near the pier (yet). My favourites so far are Rosalind's in S Fairfax Ave and O-sushi in Sta Monica Blvd near the intersection with S Sepulveda (best miso-soup I ever tried).
There used to be a really good donut shop a few blocks east, at Sta Monica/Overland but they closed in 2006. And the Turkey salad bagels at Union Station used to be damned good, too =)

Miss Chicken, that pie looks absolutely delicious! And they put so much love in arranging and decorating everything nicely! Awesome!

It can be anything to do with pencils including a drawing in pencil.

It seems photos of pencils are hard to find. How about one pencil and several pens? A drawing I've been working on for almost a year now. It's a lot further along now, but not nearly done.

    Next, alcohol.
