He's not nuts. He's crazy. I'm gonna try and start to block in shapes for that little shippy of yours.
UPDATE... I did’t get a chance to update last night so here it is. The last of the updates on this this ship for this month. Next month it’s back to my ALT-TOS. Not much done just chamfering edges and cutting down on the amount of objects. I have started to work on the big guns for this thing. I have started to add detail to the bottom of the ship. This it to show scale with Space one. Both these ships serve the same purpose.
On tonight's episode of "This Old Space Station" we look at how to refurbish gravitic inducers and Fred walks us through turning hoop barrels into a coffee table. But seriously, looks great!
This actually looks a bit like the upper W shaped structure surrounding the Vengence's cut out section...
UPDATE... I rebuilt the bottom to add more segments. Now that I have a good computer I can do that. I also added details to the bottom including the antenas I made for my space 1 ship. I had to increase the size of them by a bunch. I’ve also added the top. I decided to do away with the big blue glowy thing since it was kind of in the way of ships docking inside.
That is what DS9 should have looked like--it has more of that mining station vibe. DS9 looked nice, but more like a resort.
I guess that they had to make DS9 very unusual looking, since it was supposed to be an alien design. If the Cardassians do have any orbital resorts, they would probably look even more stylish, and have less of an industrial, faceted look.
I don't know. I'm happy with the look of DS9. UPDATE... Started to work in a few more shapes and I rebuilt the center again. Those three large globes are going to be some sort of botanical area.
UPDATE... Decided to shake out a few cobwebs and start on a simple earth utility vehicle. I know it looks like a work bee from Star Trek but I got the idea while playing GTV. I climbed up a construction crane and tried to get into the control cabin but could’t. The cargo will be held in by either straps or a tarp. It will also have detachable manipulater arms.
UPDATE... Gotta say the back end of this this is starting to come together. Looked at a couple pictures of utility trucks and decided to add a place to hold tools and such on the sides. I’m seriously thinking about making those floor panels out of wood but I don’t think that would work too well in space.
UPDATE... I’ve got a few more bits added to the bed of this vehicle. A few more details to the doors and a bit of stuff to the inside. I’ve added a few more hand holds and I think all those will divits will work as a reaction control system. I’ve also started on an idea for a locking mechanism to add more beds it needed. One more thing I just finished playing Call Of Duty:Ghosts last night. Got it on tuesday and finished on thursday. Game was ok but too short.
You might send that off to GM seriously. I have been reading a lot about driverless cars and trucks--but tractorless trailers will be where it is at. Imagine a tralier with roll up doors front and back--the engine and reefer units are underslung in easily swappable pods--with avionics bay type acess doors. New electronics can be installed from multiple providers--but the linkages/steering bogies remain uniform--as are the four corner areas where scanners attach. So no matter what engine improvements are had--the body design remains the same. Market that to Blue Bird.
UPDATE... Ok I added some stuff to the lower side of the bed. The part back here might turn out to be a light of some kind. And over here at the front of the bed I’ve added what will be the port used to refuel the power cells and check diagnostics and whatever other tech stuff might need to be done. A close up. I still nedd to detail the crap out of it.
