The world recently lost prolific composer and conductor James Horner. Mr. Horner provided music for many well-known movies over the years. The theme for this week's contest is a tribute to Mr. Horner and his extensive body of work. You may enter an avatar from a movie or TV show that James Horner worked on in any capacity (conductor, composer, orchestrator, etc.), whether credited or uncredited. For this contest, SF&F is OK, with one exception: let's exclude any Star Trek from the contest, since we probably tend to have a natural bias towards that franchise. Normal avatar rules apply: your entry should be no larger than 150 x 150, and less than 140 KB if animated. (Full disclosure: this was actually one of the ideas we discussed for the last contest, so I'd like to publicly thank the G-man for his feedback. ) Contest will be open for about a week, with the poll going up next Monday or Tuesday. Have fun!
Tough choice. But had to go with Braveheart. Also, because this thread deserves some music IMO: [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu-gKijKA9Y[/yt]
Good pick ^. I nearly went with that one, myself. I couldn't decide which track I liked best, but the main title is hard to beat, so here's a little Apollo 13: [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTSmtKDvnWQ[/yt]
I suppose I should post an entry. I'm planning to put the poll up on Tuesday night, so you've got roughly 48 hours left if you'd like to enter. Still lots of choices left! For now, here's a recap of the entries so far: Timewalker auntiehill Saga Starkers Timelord Victorious Orac Kai "the spy" tharpdevenport Showdown Avro Arrow
