Black Lightning sounds like a blaxploitation flick from the 70's.

I mean, if ever there was a way to rope Jean Hackman back into the franchise.

I wouldn't mind seeing either, particularly Black Lightning. I had hoped they would do more with Supergirl on Smallville, and possibly spin her off into her own series. But a Black Lightning movie, perhaps incorporating some elements of Black Lightning: Year One would be cool.

Well I watched the cartoon movie Superman/batman: public Enemies a couple days ago and lo an behold, Black Lighting was working in Lex Luthor's personal Honor Guard... Okies, maybe honor guard is a little strong.

Levar Burton.

So he does stuff other than pretend to be actors on Madmen while visiting the soup a touch sauced.

 

Burton's a good voice-actor choice, and he apparently knows the character already.
