I hate the Abramsprise, but maybe it'll look a tiny bit better with the proper red bussards. I'll give it a shot.

That won't work. It would look rather silly and even more asymetrical and disproportionate than the uglyprise already looks.

Well, the nacelles looked like they were regular rockets, with an exhaust nozzle at the aft end.

Are you daft? Are you trying to utterly banjax this thread?

This isn't the place to discuss aesthetics!

This thread is for having FUN, not for whining and griping. We also do not use words like "Uglyprise". Join in the fun or leave. It really is that simple.

I think one of each would be cool. Now we have to decide which engineering we want to use... skinny-butt new one or fat-butt old one... LOL.

How about a TMP-style front end, a ST-09 style rear/shuttlebay, pylons are hybrid of all 3, and the dish is the TOS one?

    Starfleet budget cuts.

I blame Federation Health Care Reform and the colony bailouts.:(

Okay. Proper red bussards on the Abramsprise. I have to say it does help...a little. See, I'm having fun.

And a comparison. In this one, the top image has the red bussards and a copper-tone deflector.

I have to admit, it looks worlds better with red bussards. It's amazing what a difference that little change makes.

Okay. My pictures apparently got deleted. So here's a link to my latest post on startrekmovie.com Clicky where the pictures are.

    Edit: Never mind. They're back.

I think the problem with your pictures is that they're attachments for another BBS--in this case, the StarTrekMovie forum--so only people who are registered at that board will be able to see them. They're not showing up for me here, and when I click on the links in your post over there, I get this message:
I know that there are some people here who are registered members of both boards, but I think it would be safer to assume that most are not. Hosting the images on something like Photobucket or Imageshack would be a better bet.

Well darnitall straight to heck! That sux. It's irritating because startrekmovie.com lets me upload images from my hard drive. I can't do that on this board. And I don't use flickr or photobucket or any of those image hosting sites. So you won't get to see my awesome red bussards! That's a big, fat bummer!

^ How about hosting them on your own homepage? That'd work, too.

Don't give up, I-Am-Zim. I'd really like to see what you have done with the ship. I use Photobucket and it is not difficult or I couldn't do it. My username is Sector7TrekBBS on Photobucket.com.

    Go to www.photobucket.com
    Register
    Upload pics or photos
When uploaded it gives you several codes, use the code (it is the last one listed)
Copy & paste it in your TrekBBS post
    We will see it

I am not being a wise-a$$, I was here over a year before I got the courage to try posting pics. Now it is second nature. The hardest part is finding the pic I want to post!

Okay try clicking this link http://mypage2.embarqspace.com/#/star-trek-pictures/4530351912 and click the right arrow under the pictures and go to the last one - should be picturre #86. Then click the picture for full size image.:)

That image is actually in the wrong section. I added it in a hurry. I also put it in the "New Star Trek Movie" section. Problem is I can't link directly to the image. So you have to go to that page and click on the picture.

My own skills in that arena are, let's be generous, paltry. I respect anyone who can do what you do.
