I was thinking she could be someone whose life just didn't turn out very satisfyingly and because she believed all the Fed propaganda about how working to better herself was supposed to make her happy this was rather horrifying and when Chak came along the incredibly absurdity of fucking with her dissatisfying life on such a grand scale had huge appeal. It's like the act of a supremely bored person.

I voted none of the above because you left out Tal Celes from "Good Shepherd" and the "Haunting of Deck 12." She seems like a good match for Harry, and I know of several fic writers that think so too.

^I can't disagree with those numbers. I figured he'd get back, run into Sonya, and they'd discuss how neither of them were ever promoted from ensign and hit it off but Harry would be beyond lucky to catch her.

 

Why would you think that she never got promoted?
