    Not so fast.
That thing at the back of his neck looks suspiciously like an octopus head. And we do know the Enterprise goes under water for some reason.
Benedict Cumbebatch is playing an octopus.

I think Cumberbatch is playing a superpowered human terrorist called John Harrison and that there is nothing more to his character than that.

I am alone on the internet in this belief.

Has anyone mentioned the possibility that those Spine ridges may be Borg-Tribble babies gestating? That would certainly fit in with him going to Qu'onos to create havoc.

Could he be a Mon Calamari?
Is Abrams trying to ruin my Trek with more Star Wars? Is this some kind of trap?

I think we're onto something with the iguana. Note: both Harrison and the iguana have their mouths open. This is likely very important. Should probably be spoiler-coded.

Cumberbatch sure has a thing for fancy dining. From this, we can determine that the Harrison character is required to take regular intakes of food and drink, at least three times per day, in order to stay alive. I'm sure Abrams is now upset that he didn't do a good enough job keeping a lid on things as far as this fact is considered.

Alice Eve said he's not Khan in an interview at the BAFTAs. I'll believe her, if only because she's prettier than you. :p

Pretending to be drinking blood wine. A plate of Klingon foods from Neelix's "Star Trek Cookbook". Listening to Klingon language tapes. It's all obvious, now.

Yeah, "eating". Now that's really original, isn't it? Thank you, boy-genius "Jar-Jar" Adams! Thank you for ruining the True Trek universe with your juvenile "food and drink" obsession! I'm sure the gushers will just pretend it's "high art" or some similar sycophantic hogwash... :vulcan:

    Pretending to be Khan maybe?

That would make him a 'Khan'-artist?
